James Nonde (not real name ) a staunch PF member in Lusaka’s Kabanana compound has been electrocuted to death when he miscalculated time Zesco would restore power in the area. He illegally climbed to a zesco transformer conversion center where high voltage 33 KV is converted into 240 AC domestic current.

He wanted to test physically whether power is there Zesco are just lying or not but by the time he made it climbing there power had already been restored and the brother was caught by high magnetic current stopping his heart in seconds hence dying instantly.

Often Zesco warns members of the public to treat all lines as danger because power can come at any time, further more it’s a crime illegally climbing any Zesco installations facilities under Zambian law by unauthorized personnel if found one is liable to the case called Vandalism.

Often it’s established that Zesco transformers contains profitable oil in them in recent years the company had woken up and suffered high pilfering by members of the public such as installation cables, transformers and so on.

Even if our brother managed to manually check the power using his method he was still going to be arrested and charged.
