Dozens of irregular migrants who entered Turkey illegally were held by law enforcement units in the eastern province of Bitlis, the provincial governor’s office said early Thursday.

According to a statement, provincial security authorities conducted an operation against human traffickers and illegal migrants and a total of 59 irregular migrants were found in a pick-up truck the other day.

The irregular migrants were referred to the provincial migration office.
