More than 50-thousand farmers under the Farmer Input Support Programme -FISP- on the Copperbelt Province have received inputs.
Copperbelt Provincial Agricultural Coordinator Obvious Kabinda says the Input distribution is going on well, and that the province may complete the exercise by end of October.
Dr. Kabinda says Copperbelt Province has over 1-hundred and two thousand FISP beneficiaries, and that depositing of farmer contributions is almost 1-hundred percent.
He says in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the province has put measures in place to avoid congestion during input distribution.
And Nyimba Investments Head of Sales and Marketing Willings Mulendema says the company has so far issued more than 30 percent of fertilizer to farmers on the Copperbelt Province.
Mr. Mulendema who visited Copperbelt Province to check on the input issuance to farmers expressed happiness with the way the distribution exercise is moving.
And Mpongwe District Agricultural Coordinator Hosea Chilubanama said more than 70 percent of farmers under FISP have already collected the inputs.
