Chipili Lengwe, the District Health Director for Solwezi, has urged residents to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 vaccination.
Dr. Lengwe stated that 2,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccinations have been allocated for Solwezi and that people should take advantage of the chance by being vaccinated and safeguarding themselves from the pandemic.
He made the remarks today at the inauguration of the vaccination at the Solwezi urban clinic.
Meanwhile, Rosemary Kamalonga, the Solwezi District Commissioner, was among those who received vaccinations and encouraged others to do the same.
She also urged the journalists to protect themselves against COVID-19 by getting vaccinated.
“This vaccine is safe and people should not be scared. I have taken mine and I feel okay,” she said
North-western province has received a total of 9,000 Johnsons and Johnson’s vaccine which has been shared among the 11 districts within the region.
