Residents of Musungu and Lunda villages in Chief Chikwanda’s Chiefdom of Mpika District in Muchinga Province have received inputs after their crop fields were destroyed recently.
Chief Chikwanda of the Bemba speaking people requested for assistance from President EDGAR LUNGU to help the affected farmers.
The traditional leader was in the two villages today where he witnessed the distribution of some bags of fertiliser and maize seed to the affected families which were sent by President Lungu.
Recently heavy rains coupled with hailstorm destroyed more than One Hundred (100) maize fields and other crops in Musungu and Lunda villages.
