Ministry of Home Affairs says there is need to review the Zambia, Egypt Joint venture farms Memorandum of understanding to ensure that the skilled inmates get employment after the completion of their sentences.

Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Masiye Banda says this will be part of the re-integration of inmates into society.

Mr. Banda says the joint venture farms have also enabled government to enhance the projects in other correctional facilities so that more inmates are empowered.

He was speaking during the Joint Annual Meeting of the Egypt, Zambia joint venture Farms held in Cairo Egypt that comes to an end tomorrow.

Mr. Banda said both Countries should sustain the venture because it has achieved a lot of success in the past 14 years.

He further said the country is open to investments from the Egyptian people in various sectors.
