The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit -DMMU- is set to deliver 10-thousand bags of relief food to Chief Nabwalya’s area in Mpika, Muchinga province.

This is a Presidential directive to DMMU National Coordinator, Chanda Kabwe.

Mfuwe Member of Parliament, Mwiimba Malama has confirmed in his address to the people of Nabwalya, during celebrations for Chief Nabwalya’s coronation.

Mr. Malama said the food will be delivered once logistics are put in place.

And Mr. Malama has noted that the issue of hunger in Nabwalya area will only come to an end after the Mpika-Nabwalya road is completed.

Meanwhile, Chief Nabwalya of the Bisa people has commended President Edgar Lungu for the directive to have relief food delivered to the area, before the onset of the rains.
