The Movement for Voter sensitization has been launched with Hundreds of Clergymen and education board secretaries from all the 10 Districts of the Copperbelt spearheading the project.
Speaking during the launch in Chingola, Movement Copperbelt Provincial planner Terry Chilombo says the aim of the project is to campaign for peace, unity and issue-based campaigns ahead of the general election.
Mr. Chilombo, who is also provincial education standards officer, says the group has engaged the clergymen in the province to preach peace and unity as the country heads towards election.
And Bishops Council of Zambia Copperbelt Secretary Reverend Daniel Kumwenda said politics of hate speech and tribalism must not be condoned.
Meanwhile, Chingola District Commissioner Agness Tonga said the launch of the program has come at the right time.
