By Hector Simfukwe-Lusaka Lawyer Tutwa Ngulube says his law firm will present a proposal to government and the Law Association of Zambia -LAZ- on how best Lawyers can provide free legal services to the poor.

Mr. Ngulube says there are a lot of poor people jail and cannot access the services of the Legal Aid Board hence the need for lawyers to move in and help.

He told ZNBC news in a Telephone interview that Pro-bono services should not only be given to the rich and prominent in society but the poor too.

Mr. Ngulube said several senior lawyers are likely to support the idea because they have confidence in the current LAZ Executive.

He said the details of the proposal will only be disclosed to the public once he officially communicates to LAZ and the government on the matter.
