The construction of 40 kilometers of township roads in Kabwe has commenced with the contractor upgrading the first roads in Chimanimani Township.
Central Province Minister SYDNEY MUSHANGA, who has witnessed the commencement of the works, says the township roads will change the face of the morning town.
Mr MUSHANGA, who is also Bwacha Member of Parliament, says for a long time, Chimanimani and other residential areas have lacked tarred roads.
The lawmaker says the coming of the roads will help in speeding up economic activities in the area.
And residents spoken to by a ZNBC News crew expressed happiness after machinery from the contractor Asphalt Roads Zambia started grading the roads.
