Zambia’s Olympic Games Come to an End With Siame’s Exit

Sydney Siame, a sprinter, has exited the Tokyo Olympic Games in the first round.

Siame finished fourth in Heat 4 on Tuesday morning, failing to qualify for the semifinals of the Men’s 200m after clocking 21.01 seconds.

Knighton Erriyon of the United States won Heat Four in 20:55 seconds, followed by Edward Alonso and Robin Vanderbemden.

The semi-finals have been reached by Knighton, Alonso, and Vanderbemden.

After fellow runner Rhoda Njobvu’s Olympic campaign ended on Monday morning, Siame was Zambia’s last hope in Tokyo.

Njobvu came in fourth place in Heat 4 of the women’s 200m race, clocking 23.33 seconds.
